Legend has it that St Francis of Assisi gave the world the recipe for ricotta. This soft cheese is made using reheated cow’s or ewe’s milk, giving the product its name – ricotta means “recooked” in Italian.

Casa Azzurra ricotta can be used in both savoury and sweet recipes. Its greatest asset is its low fat content – at just 12 percent.

Casa Azzurra ricotta is ideal for sweet and savoury dishes: mix it with herbs, salt and pepper for savouries or with a red berry coulis or honey for a sweet version.

Available in 250g and 450g formats in a resealable plastic pot or in an individual 2 x 100g format.
