With mozzarella di bufala and Parma ham…

You can replace the mozzarella di bufala with mozzarella made with cow’s milk. If you do, add the mozzarella slices just before baking. As soon as the dish is out of the oven, add the Parma ham slices and basil. Mozzarella di bufala is improved if you add it at the end of the cooking process. It will keep its authentic, delicate flavour without losing its milk content.


• 1 pizza dough

• 400g tomato coulis

• 2 Casa Azzurra Mozzarella balls (125g each)

• 120g Parma ham

• ½ bunch of basil


1. Heat the oven to 210°C (360 °F)

2. Finely slice the Casa Azzurra Mozzarella di Bufala.

3. Roll out the pizza dough then spread with the tomato coulis, leaving a 1cm edge. Bake for 12 minutes.

4. Remove from the oven and add the Casa Azzurra Mozzarella di Bufala slices, Parma ham and basil leaves.

5. Serve immediately.
